SSL Certificates

Every hosting plan includes a free auto-renewing certificate. When you need more — multi-domain or wildcard cover — we issue and install that too.

Certificates

Comodo certificates, issued and installed

If you only need the padlock, the free certificate on your hosting plan is genuinely enough and we will tell you so. The paid tiers buy wider cover and warranty, not stronger encryption.

Prices exclude VAT. Saudi customers are invoiced with 15% VAT. Elsewhere, VAT is added where applicable — 5% in the UAE and Oman, 10% in Bahrain, and Qatar currently levies no VAT. Indian customers are invoiced with 18% GST. Riyal and dollar prices are exact equivalents at the fixed 3.75 SAR peg.

Choosing

Which certificate do you actually need?

Domain Validated (DV)

Proves you control the domain. Issued in minutes. Right for blogs, brochure sites and most small business sites — and it is free on our hosting.

Wildcard

One certificate covering every subdomain of your domain. Worth it once you are managing more than a handful of subdomains.

Organisation Validated (OV)

The certificate authority verifies your company exists and that you are authorised to request it. Common for corporate and customer-facing portals.

Extended Validation (EV)

The most thorough vetting, with the highest warranty cover. Used by banks, payment processors and government portals.

Installation included

Whichever you buy, we generate the CSR, complete validation with the CA, install it and confirm the chain is correct.

Renewal handled

Free certificates renew themselves. For paid certificates we track expiry and start the reissue before it lapses.

FAQ

SSL questions

Is the free certificate less secure than a paid one?

No. The encryption is identical. What you pay for with a commercial certificate is identity validation and warranty cover, not stronger cryptography. For most small sites the free certificate is the correct choice and we will tell you so.

Will you install it for me?

Yes, on any plan. We generate the key and CSR, complete the validation steps with the certificate authority, install the certificate and intermediate chain, and verify it with an external checker before telling you it is done.

Do I need OV or EV for a government tender?

Public-sector and banking tenders in the Gulf frequently specify organisation or extended validation. Send us the requirement wording and we will tell you which certificate satisfies it — and if a DV certificate would do, we will say that instead.

Can I use my own certificate?

Yes. If you have already bought a certificate elsewhere, send us the files and we will install it on your account at no charge.

Are SSL certificates refundable?

Once a certificate has been issued by the certificate authority it cannot be cancelled for a refund. This is a CA restriction, not ours. See the refund policy.

Not sure which one you need?

Tell us what the site does — and whether it takes payments or personal data — and we will tell you the cheapest certificate that is actually appropriate.
